Featured ebay speculation jewellery junk/not junk thread

hi guys, thought it might be fun to start a thread on ebay or online spec pieces, where you are just relying on seller photos to decide

mainly for lower priced items that you hope might be worth more than you paid, but could possibly be just costume as well

no hurt feelings on truthful opinions

bought this on ebay this morn for £5 (might be only worth that)

but thought it was worth a gamble, and might wear it

any thoughts or info appreciated

 

Was the damage disclosed?


If you are going to wear it I would try to fix the sharp edge so you don't snag your clothes.

 

What a fun game! Know nothing about your item but would certainly think worth a flutter. Looking forward to comments from members.

hi cc, no wasnt disclosed, but wanted to be quick, as i only search buy it nows, and a couple of times before things have sold before i pressed the button

if sharp i can always file it down a bit

 

absolutely deb, theres some things that look promising, but some that dont, i think maybe glued in stones, and maybe dyed

nice...but...isn't that little sharp edge.....showing the the bracelet is cracked...bent or broken....down that line..........

good point buddy, looks like you can see it from the front view as well

the seller mentioned it was rather large, so it looks like its been bent in to be made smaller

 

Wonder if it was meant to be worn above the elbow for dancing.
Will have to wait and see how big is "rather large".

yeah will have to wait and see. any significant bend can end up being a crack so thats not good

 

the wire work is nice but the coral or stones..are haphazard...

 

yeah they dont really fit the shapes very well, do ya reckon all the black gunk is glue ?

I'd be thinking glass and nickel on this one, I'm afraid. I got fooled on a "jar" of jewelry at the Ill Will last week. What I was hoping was West Coast native silver turned out to be Bell Trading Post nickel. (sigh) Win some, lose some.
