East Germany, Crown W&A? mark. Manufacture name,please?

    I have this pair of pin dishes in a Dutch? boy & girl motif with this mark. Trying to determine who the mark belongs to. I know it has to be post 1949 due to the GDR.[​IMG] [​IMG]

    According to Rontgen: Wagner & Apel, Lippelsdorf, early 1970s. The mark in Rontgen (1027) shows the initials as A&W but, given the name, I'm guessing the image of the mark in the book is mirrored.

    You can always check the Porcelain Marks & More website.

    I can`t help with the pottery, however East Germany was displayed as DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik)

    I think you grabbed the wrong mark. Look at image 3-07. I believe that is the correct one

    Used between November 1949 and 1951, the old company mark with 'GDR' addition.

    Thanks for all the help folks.
    Wikipedia says that GDR & DDR are an East Germany mark for German Democratic Republic, Davey. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Germany
    For some reason I wasn't receiving notifications of the responses. I just happened to check back in this AM
    @komokwa they started young in Holland ;)
