Earrings - but what did they start out as?

    The fronts appear to be sterling set with glass, but what's up with the backs? In the 1950s from the look of it, someone replaced whatever was back there with gold-filled screwback findings. Cuff links? I'm guessing they're Mexican, but whoever converted them removed the information. To me they look like frogs! DSCF5263.JPG

    Could be. Maybe the bracelet broke.
