Early plastic tribal necklace

    Hi all
    Picked up this red/orange marbled early plastic necklace. Looks like it's imitating a tribal/African necklace? Not sure of the material, no reaction from Simichrome test so I will rule out Bakelite. I think the holes are drilled, but I have attached a few closeups for your expertise.

    Appears to be a 1970s costume jewelry necklace with barrel clasp.
