Hello everyone - having some trouble IDing this puppy. The closest I came was produced by Kokomo/Jenkins called Grape with Thumbprint Band. I couldn't find this pattern though. Was this also made by Jenkins/Kokomo and does anyone know the pattern name? Thanks! Don

    Hi Don
Just wondering why you call it a bean pot. To me a bean pot is something you make baked beans in. I would have great reservations about putting this in an oven.

Hi Greg - I was looking through Edwards and Carwile's Pressed Glass book and came across a similar pattern called Cherry with Thumbprints (p. 63) another Jenkins pattern. According to them that pattern dated to the 1920's and they picture a shape a lot like mine that they referred to as a covered bean pot. It rather surprised me too because I had never heard of a bean pot in EAPG. At the time I figured maybe it was a transitional pattern but apparently it's actually old enough to be EAPG. I agree with you - I don't think this would survive an oven - I figured it was a serving dish rather than a baking dish.

    Hi Don,
Know you know why I do not use Edwards&Carwiles, too many errors and etc.

Gotcha! I find the pictures in it help with IDs - I'm still trying to get the hang of searching on eapgpatterns.com - it seems whatever terms I use in the advanced search don't get me the results I'm looking for.

Edwards & Carwiles-----Beware of info. Years ago, I have met both of them at Glass Conventions.
