Portland Glass 'Chain and Shield' c1870s

 

I'a always suspicious of some patterns attributed to Portland, Tall, what's your documentation on that Compote?

 

Tom, comes from EAPGpatterns and Price Guide to Pattern Glass. To clarify the latter does state 'attributed to' which may possibly imply a lack of concrete evidence; or not... so, more or less accepted...

 

The EAPGS page says maker unknown. This would mean nothing concrete to say who.

 

Thanks to both of you. I have nothing on the pattern, but I have little on undocumented wares. My research centered on what I could document.
