    hello all
I found recently this 25cm diam by 8.5cm high large bowl by Royal Doulton, mark 1901-22. Unable to identify but useful key words in my searches were Art Deco, Lustre, Titanian/Titanium oxide, shallow footed, jade, emerald green, eggshell porcelain. Cannot as yet find a similar example, only miniature versions in different colours. External surface of bowl has original lustre, inside is more worn, giving a nice jade look, which I like more than the outer lustre ! What also attracted me was the small raised foot, almost oriental in style.
Does anyone definitively know what this is?
Is it porcelain, its very thin?
Was the inside originally fully lustre'd also?
Why are there no additional markings, Doulton are usually so obliging in this regard?
Hopefully some of our Doulton experts have come across this before.
    regards

It's Doulton Burslem which is why it has so few markings. Lambeth pottery is way more tagged. It's bone china, I've had it in orange. 20s lustreware. Fairly mass produced in that plain design.

many thanks Ownedbybear, I figured you would have come across it. Strange there are so few examples visible on line, maybe because it was mass produced...
Was your orange one lustre'd on inside?

Yup, it was. It does tend to wear rather.
