Hello Board Friends - I am having a little trouble figuring out this Doulton Burslem mug. Would this qualify as Japonisme? I'm not that familiar with the term but it looks like Aesthetic Period with pomegranates. So late 19th century? i wasn't able to find anything else under Doulton Burslem Spring so not sure if it's a pattern or a shape line. The mug stands about 3 1/2" tall. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! Don

It’s not pomegranate, it’s chaenomeles which is often called japonica. Chinese quince. I grow them, and they fruit like that. Part of a series, I believe.
