This stands about 12 1/2" tall, base is 3 3/8" across. Is this an actual Asian piece or a studio item?

I'm leaning towards Asian due to the bottom edge being beveled and unglazed. Recent, I think, but not sure how recent. Rather lovely really.

It is a traditional shape for a sake bottle, imitating a "bottle" gourd.
