Featured Dokhra or west african bronze pot?

Recently i picked up this bronze, lidded pot. I really like it, although sadly there is missing a bit of the webbing at one side. Underneath the feet are broken off brass rods sticking out a bit, see last picture. Did it use to have wheels, maybe?
There's remnants of sand and in the mouth and around the little fish there, rough finish. Dimensions: 28 x 12 x 9 cm.
At first i thought it was west african, i bought it together with a big yoruba bell. But now i am leaning more to a tribal indian / dokhra brass object.
There's holes in the middle, so probably not to hold something?
I would love to hear your views: on origin and what it could have been used for!

My vote is for Dhokra. A very nice piece imo.

Maybe it was mean to hold incense?

I have a number of Dokhra items and it does make me think of them.

Wow, that is a quite similar piece indeed! Even the feet are alike, though no axis for wheel underneath. :)

Yes, that could be. Though probably something fragrant that you don't have to burn? Like rose petals maybe?

By the way, noticed after posting that only the meshy part is hollow. The head and tail are filled with 'baked' sand.

This Edo bell made me think of west africa. I also saw some west african juwellery, with finer mesh and some small bells with a more wiry construction.
