I got this on a small auction page on Facebook for not much. I'm guessing it's someone's name, but ...???

Probably. I have one in silver with my name on it, friend bought it in Saudi Arabia for me.

If it were Hebrew I'd probably be able to decipher it, but Arabic script is a little beyond my capabilities.

@abdel might be able to help, but he hasn't been around for a while.

I was going to say, local Moroccan shop, but I don't know if there are any in your neighbourhood.

There is one that's sort of local, but only the name is North African these days I'm afraid. The workers are locals. There is a mosque that may be a better bet.

A mosque is always a good bet: it's obligatory to be able to read the Qu'ran in Arabic, and to pray in it, although services - sermons and such - will be done in the language of the predominant community users. So our local ones have at least twenty languages.

Pretty cool. Somebody there will be able to read something, no matter what it is. Except maybe Hebrew. :) (possibly that too, if you've got Palestinians in the crowd)

When I wanted to verify that the hallmarks on a pair of earrings were Egyptian & that I was reading them correctly, I took the earrings to my friendly Yemeni convenience store owner. He barely recognized that the 12k gold was even gold, but did confirm they were marked '12'. Too bad you do not have such a resource Personal name most likely. Just checked. The name Muhammad in Arabic calligraphy does not look at all like the necklace. 'God is Great' looks like this:
    الله أكبر

I figure it's a souvenir piece someone brought back for his wife/girlfriend with her name in Arabic script.

The Etsy page goes to a Whoopsie error message. I didn't see the name on the firefox image search but that confirms what I was thinking.

A search for 'arabic calligraphy name necklace silver' is sure to turn up someone besides this Rana.

My friend says it's Firunikia, and that it's not a name he knows.

Try Veronica. Whoever made this did it phonetically.
