Does anyone know where these were taken? Austria?

Someplace they speak German anyway; there's a laundry sign painted onto a building in that language. The images are probably tourist souvenir photos; they're about the size of postcards, but the backs are blank. The only writing is on that laundry. Bremen?

There are power lines in some of the shots, so they're 20th century, but beyond that...? I've managed to track down a few mystery pictures before, but these...?

The pic with bridge in it looks like the Adolphe bridge in Luxembourg, built 1903. Photo borrowed from web under doctrine of free use for educational purposes.

Here on lower left in the photos is a recent pic of the Wascherei Voelker building-you can barely make out the first word.

Location is given as Pfaffenthal which is a quarter in central Luxembourg city. German is one of the three official languages of Luxembourg. You can see some of the very old fortification walls of Luxembourg's "Old Town" in the other photos.

This is probably the same sentry post as seen in the old photo; it is in Luxembourg's fortifications. Photo used under doctrine of free use for educational purposes.
