    sorry for some reason could not post comment, It is approx 9 inches tall and fairlt heavy. there are what looks to be nos, and a few letters embedded on bottom. but unable to trace or read. thanks for any help you can give.

    This is a guess, but it's very similar to a couple of RumRill / Red Wing pieces I've seen - both the leaf style and "antiqued" decoration.

    If no one answers with a definitive answer, you may want to search in that direction.

    A couple of similar examples, with varying decoration - to me, the leaf motif looks almost exactly the same:

    I remembered that I had a Red Wing Art Pottery book (B. & L. Dollen, authors), and look what was on the back cover!

    Their writeup:

    "SYLVAN GROUP:
    The Sylvan group consisted of various style vases, bowls, two different candleholders, and a basket bowl. All were decorated in the same turned-out leaf style and done in a variety of finish colors."

    The Sylvan line was listed in the 1920s/1930s artware section, when its production began. I believe the color of yours would be called "Ivory with Brown Wipe".
