Does anyone know anything about this bottle?

What it was used for, age etc.

    The bottle says on the front
    ‘ Lysol’

    On the base it says
    ‘ Schiller & Mayr, Hamburg.Lysol ’.

    H 18.5cm
    W 9.5cm
    L 9.5cm

    I know it’s most probably classed as vintage rather than antique but I would really appreciate any help, thank you.

    Does it really say Lysol in there somewhere?

    Yes it says it on the front of the bottle

    I found online it was a cleaning product but that was in a modern bottle so wasn't 100% sure that was right. Thank you for the link I’ll take a look now.

    Lysol was a revolutionary product -- the first disinfectant -- and was introduced by the German company Schulke & Mayr in1889.

    Thank you I’d noticed a few other pictures online and the logo looked different so that makes sense now

    Logos are an important way of dating items. Companies sometimes make major changes but usually they evolve gradually over time.
