Does anyone know anything about this antique chest?

    It was bought off of Facebook Marketplace and the seller didn't know much about it. It looks like it was redone with the red interior not too long ago, but I figured it had to be pretty old, because of the images on the inside lid and the wear on it. It's made mostly of metal and wood, with the original leather handles on the sides.[​IMG] [​IMG] (this is my first time on this forum, I'm not sure the images will work) I was just wondering if anyone knew around what time period this is from, or really anything about it.

    I don't know anything about steamer trunks, but I'm going to copy your photos here, so others who DO know can see them better!

    Late 19th century dome-top trunk. As suggested, the bottom interior has been re-done. It should have an additional tray. Here is a similar intact example:
