Does anybody recognize who made this stylized elephant

    I picked up this elephant figure in a thrift shop recently. I am familiar with the stylized elephant produced by Arabia Finland. (I sold one a few years back for $44) I'm also familiar with one produced by Laurentian in Canada. Were there other stylized elephants produced by others in the mid century period? Do you recognize this guy?
    He is 3" long and 2 3/4" high.

    There are scratched in numbers and letters? on the bottoms (left side in the picture for sure and maybe on both.)

    I think that's just dirt - certainly nothing recognizable.

    The color makes me think 1980's but thats all I got.

    This reminds me of my travels through NY City stores, like something made there. I will have to think about it.
