    Hi,
Little suitcase with dinky toys and lead figures - all are in bad shape. Do people repair these? Would it be best to list as a mixed lot?
    Any ideas appreciated.
    Thanks for looking

    Hi,
I am so embarrassed. I have several collections like that of my stuff and stuff I have saved from the trash. My favorite was three large cardboard boxes full of home made and some professional made parts of miniature houses. They belonged to a well known miniaturist maker who died and the family just threw the stuff in the trash. I was only able to save the three boxes since the trash truck was 20 feet behind me. I made over 4K dollars from the sale of the pieces that I saved. One guy paid 125 dollars for one front door and frame.

I'd probably break it into lots.
2-3 car lots, gas station lot, military lot, people lot and car part lot.

Research those old lead figures and gas pumps. A few years ago, I sold some older lead toy figures for a decent price. I had one gas pump and was surprised by the ending price. The condition will probably hurt them but you might still get a decent price.

Thanks folks. Yes, it seems people do buy stuff like this - not sure why I'm surprised. Good idea to break them up cluttered.
Not sure about the keys, haven't look into them yet.

I'll bet you get money for those mini glob gas pumps.....reminds me of model train figures.....

You can get replacement tires for those that are missing, might help the sales price, but I'm not up on the prices of Dinkys with replaced tires vs. tireless ones.
I would do some research though; if items are uncommon enough, condition becomes less important.
And you've got boxes for some....sort of.
