Did I just find a Vernet in my grandmother house?

Can't believed my eyes when I found this in the immensity of my grandmother's attic, stored deep inside a huge dirty wooden box, behind smelly antique clothes and rotten papers.

To say the truth I am not quite sure if this is a real Vernet piece, even though my grandmother family three was extremely wealthy holding some novelty titles, I can't believe she held a Vernet threw and mistreated like this, maybe is just a follower piece, but at the same time it could be real, very real indeed.

Here is the best picture I could took, maybe you can tell me more about it, of course I am going to a gallery to certify it as soon as I can, but meanwhile it would be marvellous to know more...

I can't tell much from that photo; are you sure it's a painting and not a print?:)

    It is gorgeous.
Certainly his style, and he loved boats and lone towers, but I agree, we'd have to see more. Back, details.

    A very romanticized view.

I'm no expert, but this could be a Grand Tour copy. Even with a good look at the back it would be hard to be certain.
