Hi all. I found these 2 pieces at a local thrift store yesterday I go to every day (they are like me & seem to Always have unusual stuff!). I think they are both from same home because both seem to be from Detroit - maybe someone retired here to sunny Miami, Florida & ended up buying a smaller place than expected & downsized by donating some things? The first is a 25th anniversary poster for Detroit's PBS tv channel 56 from 1993. I can't find another and I'm thinking this was maybe hung at the tv stations lobby or on the set during the auction? it has to be valuable to someone who grew up in Detroit, right? The 2nd one is a 1921 team photo? (Is it a print?) of a football team that was probably from Detroit - because the stamp on the back says it was framed in Detroit - but I can't say for sure because I can't find anything on the initials HCH in it's center. I also googled the coach's name J.G. Mischica, but nothing came up. Can anyone figure out what school this is from? (That would help me search to see if any of the players went on to play pro football - and im thinking this is a school team photo because all of the players look to be in their mid to late teens?) Is it a photo or a print of a photo (because of the names on bottom of each corner (I also searched Kuk Konen but nothing came up) Thank you for any help!
Hancock Central High School? https://nl.findagrave.com/memorial/70037977/joseph-george-mishica "His teaching experience began at Hancock High School in September 1921. Besides teaching physics and chemistry he became the football coach the same year."
If you check my posts with questions regarding etches, lithograps etc, you will know that I have no idea
Did they recycle the background from previous team photos? It's the 1921 team, but Anderson's date is '18
