Delicate Horse with "E" like symbol?

So, my wife and I buy and resell items as a side business. This week in a container of large items there was a box that has at least 2 horse ceramics in it. I know this was headed to or from Connecticut, but never made it to it's destination.

Attached are the two photos I took of one of them. Could anyone please point me in the right direction so I can identify these horses?

 

My best guess is nicely done home ceramics.
Hard to tell much more with the styro in the way...

 

Agree that a photograph on a plain background would be helpful.

Alrighty, I'll retake photos once I go back to the warehouse this weekend, and ill pull all of the horses out for photos. I'm a complete newbie to art, heck im not sure if cramic or porcelain is the correct term for it . I know it's hollow and super fragile.

It does seem to be pottery. I know nothing about the mark, though.
