Decorative Metal Piece Mystery

    I’m trying to figure out what exactly this metal piece was used for. Each corner has an approx. 3/4” screw-like thread sticking out of it. Any thoughts would be so helpful!

    It might be part of a 4 legged table, each leg being held onto the corners with decorative nuts.
