Jewelry Buffs-Here's a Deco /Mid Cent Watch marked 'Ledo' in script. It has a wristwatch hidden under the sliding front setting.Seems to be all rhinestone & plate,is it worth getting cleaned and the watch restored or is it 'Junq WATCH1.jpg WATCH2.jpg WATCH3.jpg ue' ?

Holy Cow !!!-I thought this thing was a clever design, but Junk ! Of course that's the Ruby Lane price- I imagine my Ebay Clientele....('Les Pickers') wouldn't shell out that kind of cash. But it looks like I may have to visit some Watch Repair people & replace the chain. You know I hear about vintage rhinestone stuff all the time, but being Indiana Jones at heart, just focus on finding those 500 Carat Emeralds under the mattress.Thank You so much Ulilwitch. By the way we have had always had a White Kitty as part of our family-for 40 years ! The one we have now (being pure, pure white) is naturally deaf-but his love speaks loudly. His name is Pablo Neruda (or Pablo-even though he weighs almost 20 lbs !).
PS-Time to comb thru my old box of rhinestone goodies.

You are welcome. My white cats name is Natasha. We actually had Boris and Natasha, (I loved that cartoon) both white. Boris passed 3 years ago at the age of 14. Natasha is now 17. She had melanoma cancer on her ears. The tips were removed a couple of years ago and she is doing just fine. I think she looks adorable without the ear tips. Susan

Pablo Neruda! Did you know he preferred to write in green ink, as green is the color of hope?

Speaking of hope, I hope I find something like this cheap, because I doubt I could bring myself to sell it.

Ulilwitch- Natasha is beautiful and very stylish in her beautifully coifed ears (prettier than Boris Badenov's lady).
Born-My lady turned me on to Neruda,a sublime writer and i never knew about the green ink,I'll share it with her.I've been picking for 40-50 years, can't remember where I got it.I wish I would've been paying more attention to bakelite & rhinestones instead of Picasso and Matisse.
BOOK FIND-You know once I did find a First Edition of either Joyce's 'Ulysses' or 'Finnegan s Wake', had paper wraps like Henry Miller's 'Tropic of Cancer'. It was serialized in a 1930's magazine called (i believe) 'Transitions'. Also had a very early photo of Picasso's masterpiece 'Guernica'-so most likely late 30's,after Spain fell to Franco and the Falangist Fascists.
