Hi all,your thoughts on this print,please. Age? I googled the framers Herbert Evans. Label might be pre-50’s? Herbert Evans is still in business (so I think I will e-mail them) Size is 39x31cm. Thanks for any comments

 

Hard to say, but the frame is covering up the area on the bottom where the originals were signed and numbered.

This image has been reproduced countless times since the 1940’s. You can still buy it through Walmart. It won’t be signed or numbered and the printed info on the back was likely cropped off the front.

 

Thanks for the comment. Yes,lots of prints out there. Will find out about the label to get a timeline. Or take it out of the frame to see more. Did see the current day Walmart print. Only paid about $5 dollars and I do think mine is at least a vintage print and nicely framed so it’s all good

 

Anyway,I e-mailed Evans Herbert and hopefully they can give some info on the label or timeline using the order no. as to when the framing was done. They have been in the art business a very long time. But I don’t think they do framing anymore. Will provide feedback if I get any response.
