Featured Date These Photos?

I found a few small negatives(3” x 4” maybe) and crudely converted them. I was wondering if anyone had an idea of a date on these? I know they probably wore clothes until they couldn’t be patched any longer, same goes for tack. I figured I’d give it a shot anyhow.

I thought maybe they were earlier because I’ve got a lot of deeds/loan/receipts for heavy farm equipment from the 20’s and 30’s. All found in the same ancestors trunk. I haven’t identified the woman in the photo yet, that may be doable.
Also, in doing a bit of research I think getting an exact size on these may help in the “dating profile”.

Looking at style of ploughing the pics can be date back to 1800, i guess.

now 'that's' horse power....

 

And I'm betting that farmer either had a bunch of "hands" or about 15 kids. Someone had to take good care of all those horses.

 

That’s absolutely crazy. These ancestors were early farmers in Ione. Can’t say for sure that that’s where the pictures were taken but it seems likely.
