It seems to indeed be Volkstedt, why do you think its fake? The quality is very good, wich would be in line with their stuff. Its beautiful.

I agree, beautiful quality, and she is lovely.
If I were her, I wouldn't sign that contract (pre-nup?) either.

I was thinking the mark was fake like some asian knockoffs that look somewhat akin to other marks. But I think what you're saying and Im seeing is that one part of the line has come off giving it that appearance. hmm

The workmanship is superb.I don't collect Rococo (or whatever it is ?). If I could've afforded it-I would've bought it for resale.Wether 18th Century or not-it's quite fine.Did you find it in a thrift or some where snobbier ?

It went down at auction for $100 plus wotever fees and taxes. Seems like a reasonable good bet for resale. I thought the mark was wrong so I passed. Its really lovely though, it has social commentary and is different from the usual dresden lace stuff. Hard to figure wot it might fetch

as an amateur re these figures,$100 seems pretty good-but i know zilch.

It’s very well modelled but has a 20th century feel to me. Reminds me of Capodimonte sculpting

there's no size...but a C note sounds reasonable for such a compelling work..
