Cut to clear decanter

    At the same time I picked up the cut to clear vase and bowl my wife grabbed this decanter. I'm going to have to assume that it may be Czech also? It's 15 1/2" high with stopper and 11 3/4" without. Not sure if you can tell the color very well in the photos however it's a very dark shade of green.

    Does anyone else use the nomenclature "cased and cut" for "cut to clear"?

    Not me! And not all cut to clear is cased glass, it can be flashed.

    the form and elongated stopper give me an Italian/Venetian feeling.

    Update on this decanter. I got a reply this morning from Nachtmann, a Bavarian company. It's their Traube pattern Wine Decanter.

    Nachtmann makes perfect sense. Roots in Bohemian glass making.
