Curious (Beat-up) Victorian Pot ?

    I post this old relic just out of pure curiosity.It looks like it's had it's handles pried off after it was kicked by a mule !
    It's quite a thick casting like post-war heavy aluminum cookware.The interior has numerous tiny gouges.No marks that I can see,it's 4" tall by 7" across.
    Just wondered if anyone out there can tell me what if may have been used for in better days ?

    It reminds me of Moroccan teapots, so maybe search in that direction?

    Thanks AJ.It's strange how thick it is,and the pattern reminds me of a motif you'd see on a Western belt buckle.

    It is also a motif seen on Aesthetic jewellery, so pretty generic. Very nice though.

    Even beat-up,it was cheap & intriguing. I had to buy it as an artifact to share here !
