IMG_06182.JPG IMG_06192.JPG Does anyone recognize this plate and/or read/identify the alphabet? The plate is is 7' in diameter and very thick and heavy crystal - 1/4 inch on the beveled edge and at least twice that in the center of the plate. No markings anywhere. Google image search got me nowhere. I've gone through countless alphabet sets and the only one that seemed even slightly similar was Coptic. It's a beautiful little plate; I just want to know where it came from. Promotional item? Cruise souvenir?

This is Chinese or Japanese (they use the same letters).

I'll lay odds this is related to Hong Kong.

JMHO, I agree those ships have an oriental look, not like clipper ships :)
