CRAWLING THRU A ATTIC I FOUND 2 FRAMED PAINT? PRINT? ON METAL - 1's A PICASSO!

A friend asked me if I wanted to buy some old paintings she had in her attic (Of course I did!) - So I went up & after crawling through dust dirt & foam insulation I found these 2 paintings? Prints? on metal plaques in great old frames.

What are these? Did Picasso prints or paintings come on metal - because I can't find any?

I bought them as much for the frames as the art (which I'm guessing is print but there is 1 spot that looks like a drop of paint rolled for a little bit!) - are the frames valuable - they are both by Revel?
Also, how do I clean them? They have ... dirt & fur? fuzz? (something I can scrap off with my finger) - can I hose them down since art is metal (and the metal looks like it's starting to rust on the back) ? They looked stained at the bottom - I can paint them if needed, right?

As always I appreciate any help.

The horse image looks to be Don Quixote and his side kick Sancho who rides a donkey. Is the image enamel on tin? No thoughts on the frames.

Don Q looks like enamel on copper to me too.

 

Is Picasso painted too? Or a print? They are on copper?

 

I'd give those two a divorce. Those are wild funky frames that don't match the pictures. Someone made that Don Quixote picture from a stencil, probably in an "art class" of some sort. They need simpler frames, but will look great on a wall when they're redone.

 

Google "don quixote picasso enamel on copper" and you'll see other copies.

This one sold for $350 in 2013. Which surprised me.

And in 2017, one went for $175 and another for $225.

Which still surprises me.

 

The Picasso is by Max Karp, that’s why they sell so well, he did a few other Picasso works too.

 

Those are crazy prices for non-original Picasso works. Wow.

Frames like these have been mass-produced and sold in some art supply shops and I used to have one that I put a mirror in. I like them for some purposes, but I don't think they'd be worth a lot.

My frame was painted plaster.

Methinks "hosing them down" is a wee bit extreme!! Personally, I adore roccoco frames, but these are not served well by their contents! You can send them to me, if you don't have anything to put in them!
