Covered Wood Bucket Teak?

    Picked this up at an estate sale. Stands 10" tall and measures 6 1/4" across the top. Might be missing a liner if this is an ice bucket. No marks. It does have a mid century look.

    Danish modern but dimensions don't seem quite right for ice bucket.

    Maybe part of a canister set.
    But I think ice bucket is more likely.

    It doesn't look quite like teak to me, though wood ID from photos is an inexact science, especially if one considers that items of foreign manufacture may use woods unfamiliar to US or UK woodworkers.

    Which bucket are you saying does not look like teak? Mine or the 2nd one posted?

    I was referring to yours, but I repeat that wood ID from photos is quite inexact. I could probably recognize teak if I had it in hand.
    One additional question: is there any type of wood finish on yours?

    Has a low shine/gloss finish.
