7" high incl. cover, ~7" diameter, 2 5/8" mouth. Thrown, of course, an' quite thin-walled.
Gotten at a high-end estate sale about 20 years ago. $50, as I recall, an' no regrets, then or now.
I'm hoping someone may recognize this for its characteristic peculiarities; colors, decorative techniques...or, best of all, that signature...of which I promise to continue attempting a better capture.
    Thanks for lookin'!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

It is just beautiful. How are you doing on getting a better photo of the signature, @wlwhittier ?

Photo enhancement could be a job for the master-Aquitaine.

My equipment is rudimentary, including editing software...so I can only hope for better lighting an' a steadier hand. I've noticed examples of remarkable clarification with signature pics here, an' am hopeful that the best I can manage will be enough for openers to those members so skilled.

@wlwhittier, It IS a Beautiful jar!!!! I'm not sure I was able to make that signature any clearer, but the angled signature had deeper 'shadows' so I took that one, manipulated it to a circle, and came up with the below....filled in with a semi-transparent white... see if it makes any sense to anyone....could it be a Japanese jar and signature???

This lower blue one is the one that was round to begin with but I couldn't make head nor tails out of the lower part.....(NOT that I could 'READ' any of it, but was at least able to 'fill in', I think, the letters in the upper one!!)

By the way, @wlwhittier, I was JUST signing off when I noticed the writing along the edges by the arrows I added below......is it of any significance????

Really nice work Aquitaine. These mid-century & modern potters are doing us no favors.Maybe these outlandishly spontaneous signatures became really hot during abstract expressionist craze ?

Great job, @Aquitaine ! I still can't figure it out, though.
