Featured Could someone tell me about this Chinese Embroidered wall hanging?

    It was really hard to photograph with the metalic threads.
    It measures 27" long including the tassel.
    The black laquer wood frame is 6" x 11" and the embroidery is 3 1/2" x 8"
    The back is that old really thin wax paper.
    I was hoping to find out more about it.
    @KikoBlueEyes could you take a look please?

    Maybe @KikoBlueEyes didn't see the tag? I'll tag again and give one more bump for this beautiful wall hanging. I have a book titled The Techniques of Japanese Embroidery. Since this is Chinese, though, consultation of the book may not be helpful.

    I'm not sure, but Chinese collectors on Facebook say forbidden stitch, and older. But not sure on how old.
