Featured Couch I am unable to identify! Help please!!!

    I recently bought this couch but have been unable to identify its age or origin.     Id guess Empire ,circa 1860 give or take.Love the rams heads.

    I might date it a bit later, 1860s or 70s. This form was in use at least as far back as the 18th century, and some would say its a continuation of a form dating back to ancient Rome. In any case, European mid-19th Century would probably cover it.
