Costume necklace- am I missing something?

Because this necklace has a price tag of £110, admittedly reduced to a mere bargain of £80. Ambitious even for a craft piece.
I can’t for the life of me see why . Am I missing something?. The beads test as glass, the metal isn’t silver, the roses look like resin.
Apologies for sharing more modern costume tat but if it wasn’t for the price tag I wouldn’t even be bothering you with it!

Wow, that's am ambitious price tag. Looks modern to me, judging by the clasp. It's the kind of necklace I'd hurl into my grabbag box to sell by the pound.

Mary Contrary gem tester tells me the beads are glass. The roses I've just tested and oddly it tells me they are glass too although they look damn like resin with the soft edges. The beads chink against your teeth, the roses sound duller.

 

That much? Fortunately I was given it as I wouldn't have parted with actual money for it. Most ambitious price tag award here I think.

 

It's nice and looks like they priced it by the work they had in it. That's an "I don't want to sell it" price, as the American Pickers put it. I might throw $15 at it in a flea market if I really liked it and wanted to wear it. (as a cheapskate beader I don't pay for someone else's labor either.)

 

I think you may be spot on. A labour of love maybe.
