Featured Costume jewelry - Necklace & earring set - When & what style?

I thought this set was unusual but kind of cool.

The beads & inserts in the medallions seem to be plastic.

The necklace is 13 5/8" from the clasp to the bottom chain & the 3 medallions are 1 11/16" across. The clip earrings are 1" across.

Roughly archeological revival. No idea whodunnit, but Art is a contender. It's a 1950s (from the clasp) redo of 1870s does Roman. Or something like that.

 

I would have said more Egyptian Revival in feeling. The design does not look Greek, Etruscan or Roman to me. Not that it's authentic Egyptian, but the combo of turquoise & lapis is very Egyptian.

 

OTOH the swoopy chains and medallions don't read Egyptian to me. The Victorians mashed things up whenever they felt like it, and later costume jewelry makers followed suit.

No idea, but I particularly like the colours in the earrings.
Do you think they are a set or a marriage as they look slightly different to the necklace.
To my uneducated eye, a bit like my daughter, the necklace in particular is trying to look older than it is?

 

The earrings look like they're 1980s, so no question it's a marriage. The necklace, long form is 1950s does 1920s doing a take on the 1870s interpretation of the Egyptian/Greco-Roman era. Or close enough. If you can follow that.

 

Those clip earrings are very like the D'Orlan ones we had recently.

I am not sure if they are a marriage or not but the back construction seems to be very similar & the color of the beads is the same as the beads on the chains. Regardless they will go out the door together.

I did take a look at some of the d'Orlan earrings but the back construction is totally different.
