I've been throwing costume in this bin since last summer.

I pulled it out yesterday there's around 30lb in there all taffled up, necklaces, bracelets, watches, cufflinks, tie clips, dress rings, earrings.

Its going to take all afternoon tomorrow to unravel this lot.

I don't think my A-D-D would allow me to sit through that, davey. Good luck!

Oooooh! TOY BOX! That looks like two nights' worth of sitting in front of the telly to me. Too bad I can't swim over and take the problem off your paws ... hands. Looks like the Dawg likes it too, except that sorting this lot means you'll have hands full of jewels instead of scratching Dawg. Then again, if it was Cat it might end up as a cat bed.

I test everything for gold and silver before it is tossed in the box.

I sell each item for £1 at car boot sales but the necklaces end up in a knotted ball.

Anyone got a good idea how to transport hundreds of necklaces and display them ?

Pin boards and drawing pins. One each end.

Plastic sandwich baggies, a certain number of necklaces per bag? You don't even need to take them out on arrival; the joolies will find them.

Better yet, pin the bagged necklaces to the board so people can see them.

That is how I would do it. I had a similar situation a while back. This is what I ended up with.
    I had a sale in my driveway. Everything for $1. one.jpg two.jpg three.jpg four.jpg sale.jpg

tangle.jpg But, that aside, I would be happy to sift through your treasure box, anyway...it's all NEW to me! :)

You want to know what the worst part is? This is how much I still have in my bedroom to go through!!

That is something I could do but I couldn't transport them to the venue like that.

But if you put the pins in each end, like OBB suggested, you can stack them (the boards)and they will stay attached? You don't think it would work?
I also did the sandwich bags which are on the table...mostly bracelets. That is super easy, too.

There are some pieces of costume jewelry that sell for more than fine jewelry. Sort thorough the pile carefully, post anything intesting to us to let us help you!

Put the pins each end, then wrap clingfilm round. Been there, done that! And yes, check carefully as @Marie Forjan rightly says.

I tested most of the pearl necklaces with my teeth and ended up with various stale perfumes from dead old ladies in my mouth, Aach!!

    Heck that stuff lingers.

I had to use mouth wash to rid the taste :hilarious:

I have around fifty bottles of French British and German perfumes dating from the 30's to the 80's does it sell ?

    Got some blokes stuff too.:hilarious:
