Featured Correct to call these vintage Xmas cards "mechanical"?

    Got some fun cards at an estate sale. Both of these have figures that move when you open them. Planning to sell on Ebay. Is a keyword for these "mechanical"?

    When you fold it open the dog walks the ladder and reaches the wreath up above the window.

    I've seen those described as having "moving parts" or as being "articulated." Mechanical wouldn't be accurate because no machines are involved.

    Agree if the motion occurs when the card is opened.

    those are wonderful Lucille:) while the word 'pop-up' is good, use the word 'mechanical', there are pieces that move rather than just 'pop-up'. For many collectors, mechanical is the first word used in their search:)

    I got another set of cards that are really cool at this same sale. They are 1950s (or so) Christmas cards featuring cartoon characters. I'll post them on finds.
