    or other has gotten at all the jewelry you are posting these days!

    Seriously now, as I think S.O.S. pointed out, if the setting or other metal parts of a piece of jewelry are cheap junk, the stones in it probably are too. The metal in this item is pretty sorry looking to me.

    You do realize that those beads look like tomatoes which have been attacked by a swarm of fruit flies? :)

    It looks like natural coral to me, but they do dye that as well, so I can't help you there.
    It would help to see more of the chain, and also the clasp.
    I really like it.

    Coral , being a natural material does get chewed on.......& these do indeed look dyed.

    Twisted wire findings have been popular fairly recently. I don't recall seeing them before the last 20 years or so.
