Picked this up yesterday. It is hand beaten and I think it is a gazelle looking at the straight horns and build. Other suggestions have been a springbok or antelope. I always hazard a guess of South Asia for this sort of item. Although I have had a few Google results suggesting that the rim is french perhaps.

I was going to say it could be French or German

Maybe South African? Just kinda meets everything halfway.

With that elegant curve of the horn(s), I think it is an impala.

    Cute A&C or Deco-student trade/vocational school piece ?

Because of the quality of its execution, I too think that might be a student piece. The impala was a popular Art Deco design motif.
