This pitcher is about 7 inches tall, and has a riveted handle and dovetail seam around the center. The metal is odd - looks like copper but is mottled and has an iridescent sheen in spots. Any thoughts on age, origin, or what the metal is? Thanks.

Think it is brass. Has some age to it. Hard to say where it was made since not really distinct enough in construction.

Is that a design on the sides or was it made in two pieces?

    Including the handle,there's 5 pieces.

It does look like 5 pieces, the top half, the bottom half, two semi-circular inset pieces, and the handle. Metal is odd, never seen any like this. If I polished it, I could maybe tell if it is brass or copper, but not going there.
