    1019171624.jpg Hello!

I found this at a thrift shop today and I can't seem to find any information on it. All I know is its mostly copper, brass pieces and a rare earth magnet only attaches at the very last tip of the copper.

It is a candle lantern for sure, it looks like it could sit on a stand or be hung from something.

It's cute. And BIG. But that's about it.

What did you wanna know about it?

I really would like to know where it came from, maybe something about the maker.

Also, I'm guessing it was made around the 70's?

It is going to be hard to find out exactly where it came from and the maker unless that info is marked on it somewhere. Such items often come from somewhere in Asia.

I was guessing maybe india? The bass seems to be somewhat off center but the copper seems to be dead on.

Any idea what these may be worth? I considered putting them on consignment with a local antiques shop.

I shined them up for good measure.

Those are REALLY close, but without the brown stained glass. Mine measures 19" to the top of the copper and 22" to the top of the ring.

It seems that the base of the brass is missing on that left one in the ebay auction, and the one on the right doesn't quite match up either

The construction is enough like yours, there is even the fact that they come as a pair, to suggest that yours were also made in Turkey, no?

It's there; it just disappears in the gravel of similar color.

I would agree that these were probably made by the same maker. Possibly even the same individual??

How could I positively identify them as a Turkish origin?

Hmmm, so it's possible that these may only be a year old or 30 years old then?
