    Good Morning to all.

I have a Copper and Brass Jar - Jug - Bucket - Ash holder?

I recently found this lovely at my favorite Goodwill, and would like some help finding out what it is, its origin and age.

Copper Jug Vessel with Brass Lid, Brass Bail Handle and base.

The Copper and Brass Jug has inner black Lid and outer Brass Lid,

15" tall x 8" diameter at widest the opening is 4 1/4” diameter

Has some dents due to age and use, and the inside is very dirty as if used as an ash holder or coal bucket.
