This was mixed in with some old bottles I got out of an old barn. It's not quite as pointy as some torpedo bottles I've seen. Shaped more like a grenade. I'm not sure if is old (late 1800's) or was made to look old (mid 1900's). The sides feel like they are from a whittle mold but the seams on the top are iffy. The 2 part bottle seam stops about 1/8" below the collar but the top is also a 2 part mold. It is embossed on the bottom with COOP and a picture of a bottle? Approximately 8 1/2" in length. The only reference to COOP I could find were dairy bottles but nothing like this. Coop.JPG Coop2.JPG Coop3.JPG Coop4.JPG Coop5.JPG Coop6.JPG

Well not an applied top as the mold seem goes over the entire bottle. And no pontil mark. that's all I got but just those 2 factors may spell newer?

Thank you. That makes sense. Coop had me puzzled. Must be the bottle maker for wine companies.

The mold seam isn't continuous. The seams on top are 90 degrees off.

Could Coop be short for cooperative?

I thought it might be but usually you see that as Co-op. Either way it is worthless :)

I have a very similar bottle, have had it for decades always been curious bout it. Mine is 4 1/2 inches, has a screw top that's 90 degrees off from the main mold as well. It has coop and the pic of the bottle exactly like yours. Only the size and screw top differ and I cannot find one with a screw top anywhere on the net. Thanks for your great post and all those who helped.
