Clue: not hand tools, used in machines in factories. See tape in photo for dimensions. They are all steel and weigh about 4-5 lbs. ea. The threads seem to be left-handed, but that probably won't help you at all. I hadn't a clue about these when I got them a few days ago, and had to consult many machinists before I got what I think is probably the correct ID.

by the wear at only the very tip , I'd say a punch of some sort, maybe to enlarge a hole.

Given the tag still attached to one, I'm going to guess... let me see... deep thought... screw tip!

For use on an injection molding machine used to shut off the flow of material into the molds. (I think)

Seconded. I knew I'd seen something like this before somewhere.... The key was the tag - a 70mm screw tip isn't exactly going to be able to hide in the 40mm phillips heads.

I have no idea but if the guesses above are incorrect, I'll suggest a soldering iron tip.
