I've seen it on the auction ( only this one pic), and have to say, that i like it pretty much and will try to buy it without thinking how old it is, but anyway, I am curious about the age and provenience. I hesitate between modern Italian and modern english. What do you think about? e6a06e32-6910-46f3-bc16-aa3f00f62ea8.jpg

Provenience is the history of the piece, who owned it, who they got it from and so on. That is information you would have to get from the seller.

Ok, I put a wrong question: what kind of design it may be, from where it may come from?

Can't really tell anything about age from this picture. Style is French Louis XVI but could just as well be made elsewhere. Much came from Italy in the 50s-60s. Much made in Egypt and China these days.

Where does that electric cord end? The plug looks very modern.

I think that flat plug is newer.

The power plug is British by the look of it - I can't see the prong shapes, but looks ours. Not that new though: these days, they're moulded on to the flex and that flex looks 60s ish.

I don't think this table came from here, though. Italian or French.

The table could be French or Belgian. It doesn't look Italian to me, and certainly not British.

Marzena is in London, so a British plug makes sense.;)

The plug is a modern UK type with insulation on the Live a & Neutral pins, however it has been added to the cable as can be seen by the taped joint.
Why there is an electrical cable there is anyone's guess.

I'll bet the plug is stuck into a hidden wall socket and has nothing to do with the table .....but...a lamp that was taken away for the photograph...

unless of course...u got a picture of a table like this...lit up !!!
