Compote and iddy biddy jug

    I'm thinking this is an individual setting as the jug is just tiny.
    If the compote was full of strawberries and ice cream there
    would be no way you would get that little jug of cream out
    of my hands. The gilding is fading and has almost been lost
    on the clear section around the base so it's not a spring chicken.
    The compote is 15cm high and 14.7cm round whilst the jug is
    9.3cm high by 7.5cm round.
    Not quite sure what to date this. Any ideas?

    Lovely pieces. Can't tell you much but I'll bet there was a matching sugar at one time. It doesn't look American so I think any clues will be in European glass.
