Known:
These items appear on a C Melody Saxaphone case that traveled from New York to India on a ship in 1930-40. The ship line logo and instrument company tag are shown. The case may have traveled by train also. The saxophone was made in 1914.

Unknown:
What is the "214 P. & O."? It looks to be older than the ship sticker.

I had this Doulton ashtray:


And a Conn clarinet when I was a kid.

 

This fits well with the known history for part of the ocean travel near India.

In 1914, it took over the British India Steam Navigation Company, which was then the largest British shipping line

 

Appears to be a Conn case, that's all I can say.
