Colorful antique cardboard lid... from candy box??

    I wound up getting this at the thrift for a few bucks. Maybe the lid to a candy box or similar? Approx 12 x 9". What do you think it came off of?

    Haven't a clue what that thing was, or what it represents, but I'd surround it with a mirror frame, and mount it on my wall asap! :)

    I think you may be right re gift box cover, chocolate perhaps. 1930s-ish to my eye.

    Pearls, riches from the Orient. Venice used to be a trade hub where ships from Byzantium arrived with silks, pearls, and other gemstones.
