Featured Coin / Token / ??? Bracelet

    Hi folks,

    Does anyone know what the charms on this bracelet are? I thought 'coins', but they don't look like any coins I've seen. Maybe tokens? Dunno, but they're all made of brass and older than the chain they're attached to. Each one is different, and some have stamping on the reverse and others don't.One of them has '1903' on the back. (The color's off a bit because I shot these bracelet1.jpg bracelet2.jpg bracelet3.jpg outside and the sun is playing hide-and-seek with the clouds)

    Maybe brass tokens used in the mines when tools were used????

    Searching images for 'pick token' brings up similar looking ones... nice to have a bracelet of them!

    Very cool, Thanks! I never heard of them, and there seems to be an active community of collectors, especially in the UK. I came across this site, among others that are very interesting.

    I have actually sold these several different times. As with anything, some are more collectible than others. If I remember correctly the ones where you can identify the mine or area it was used was the most desirable.

    If you decide to sell it, let us know how you do with it.

    Never heard of these. Very cool bracelet, Artsfarm. They seem to have some age. Do let us know what happens if you sell. Interesting!
