image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg i found this coffee grinder in some old stuff. It has no markings on it anywhere. I have attached some pictures if anyone could give me any information on it. How old is it and possible what manufacturer. Thanks.

A very similar mill is in the 1902 Sears catalog, but with black paper label above the drawer that reads "Imperial Mill." Don't have dimensions of yours so can't compare it to those in catalog that list box dimensions. I'd guess yours is ca. 1915 because the strap handle represents an improvement over most of those in the catalog which have no handles.

Not a slam at you but most posters omit dimensions which are important to those who only want to hit the books once for an item and be done with it, they don't always have time to make a post just to beg the poster for dimensions then come back later to do some of the work over again. I suspect after a while those people will just ignore posts that leave out important information. Again, not criticizing you who I think may be new here-glad you came and thanks for the good photos.

Thanks for your information. Yea I am new to this forum. I'll learn the way it works soon enough. The part that kind of threw me off was the somewhat modern looking C clip or E clip inside on the post itself. Is that something someone added later or is it original. The measurements of mine are: 5"x5"x 4 1/4" tall for the bottom box part. The round part is 4" diameter. Including the handle it is 10 3/4" tall. Once again thank you for all your help.

Yep that's the one I have, thanks everyone. I figured with that C clip on the inside it was more modern. To bad , I wish it was from 1915. So it's not worth keeping, or yes it is?

Quite a few of them on ebay. Most are being sold as old but don't bring much. Seems that under $30.00 is the going rate if they sell at all.

Y'all are correct, a repro, the E-clip you saw and I didn't is the giveaway.
Well hey, I only missed by 100 years this time!
